A document is laid out once and then drawn on screen or written as a PDF. Pagination cannot disagree between the two because there is only one layout.

A number is allocated once when a document is issued and never reused. A draft has no number, so abandoning one leaves no gap in the series.

Matches name, email, company, phone and tags. A service name is a valid way to find a client.

Filters that mean something

Lead, active, dormant and archived. Archiving is not deleting, so a document never loses the client it names.

Accounts with roles

Admin, member and viewer. An administrator creates every account; there is no public sign-up.

Outstanding lists every issued document that is not settled, oldest first and ages it into brackets. Reports group the same documents by month, type and client.

An inclusive date range. Every figure comes from the documents that exist.

Nothing stored twice

A figure is computed from the documents on every read. There is no balance kept on a client and no monthly total to become stale.

One ageing rule

The list, the report and the screen read the same status lists and the same date helper, so they cannot disagree about how late an invoice is.

Payment recording is not built yet

Paid and overdue are statuses a person sets. The outstanding total shows the document total, not a remaining balance after part payment.

Clients, documents and reports are stored in the database you connect the desk to. Cresard does not run a database server that holds them.

The desk keeps working when the network does not

Operations that need the network are queued and run when the connection returns. A change made offline is described as waiting, not as saved.

Each person has their own sign in

Several people share one desk with separate accounts. An append-only audit trail records who did what, including account changes and document transitions.

04telemetry

No usage events or crash pings

No analytics SDK is bundled and no telemetry is sent from the desktop app. There is nothing to opt out of because nothing was added.

Use your own if you want one.

Cresard Desk ships without model weights. If you configure a model, it is one you supply. The documents and the records do not wait for it.
